Aesthetics is a rapidly growing area of the beauty and cosmetic industry, focusing on enhancing an individual’s appearance, improving skin health and addressing cosmetic concerns through a range of non-surgical treatments. Common aesthetic services include anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments and various skin rejuvenation procedures. Many of these treatments are described as non-invasive or minimally invasive, offering alternatives to traditional cosmetic surgery with generally shorter recovery times. However, although these procedures may not involve surgery, they are not without risks and require appropriate knowledge, training and an understanding of facial anatomy, skin conditions, infection control and safe treatment techniques.
One of the growing concerns within the aesthetics industry is the increasing number of unqualified, inadequately trained or unlicensed practitioners offering treatments without the necessary skills or clinical knowledge. In the UK, regulation varies depending on the treatment and location, meaning that not all practitioners are required to hold the same professional qualifications. The use of unlicensed, counterfeit or poor-quality products, alongside incorrect administration techniques and insufficient understanding of contraindications, can lead to serious complications. These may include infections, allergic reactions, burns, scarring, tissue damage and, in severe cases involving injectable treatments, vascular occlusion and permanent injury. Practitioners who lack adequate training may also fail to recognise complications or respond appropriately in an emergency. This highlights the importance of choosing appropriately qualified, insured and experienced practitioners who use legitimate, approved products and follow professional safety standards to protect client health and wellbeing.
At Fresh Therapy, we offer two flexible pathways for clients to access our aesthetic and skin improvement treatments, ensuring that each individual receives care suited to their personal needs, goals and overall wellbeing. The first pathway allows clients to book an initial consultation, where their concerns, expectations and treatment options are discussed, before receiving treatments on an individual, as-and-when-required basis. The second pathway offers a more structured and ongoing approach through our Fresh Therapy Membership Programme. This begins with a comprehensive consultation and assessment of the client’s skin health, lifestyle, individual concerns and desired outcomes. Together, we develop a personalised 12-month Skin Improvement Plan, designed to support long-term skin health, confidence and overall wellbeing. Membership is available across three levels — Bronze, Silver and Gold — each offering different levels of treatment and ongoing support. Every plan is tailored to the individual, taking into consideration their skin condition, personal goals, relevant medical history, lifestyle and budget. This approach allows us to focus not only on immediate aesthetic improvements but also on maintaining and enhancing skin health through consistent, carefully planned treatments over time.
